Anti-Ragging Policy
Sai Care College has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form, as mandated by UGC / MUHS regulations.
All students and their parents / guardians are required to submit a signed Anti-Ragging Undertaking at the time of admission. Online submission is also mandatory on the UGC Anti-Ragging portal (www.antiragging.in).
What Constitutes Ragging?
Any verbal or written communication that teases, embarrasses, or humiliates a student
Compelling students to perform any act that causes physical/mental harm
Forceful isolation, threat, or blackmail of any student
Any initiation ceremony involving physical violence or emotional abuse
Social media harassment or cyber-bullying of fellow students
Forcing consumption of alcohol, food, or substances
Interrupting the sleep or study of a student
Any physical abuse or sexual harassment, directly or indirectly
Penalties for Ragging
- Suspension from attending classes
- Withholding scholarship or stipend
- Debarring from appearing in examinations
- Rustication from the institution
- Cancellation of admission and expulsion
- Filing of FIR and criminal proceedings as applicable under IPC
Anti-Ragging Committee
An Anti-Ragging Committee constituted by the college Principal oversees all complaints, investigations, and actions. The committee includes faculty, administrative staff, and student representatives.
Report Ragging
Complaints are treated with strict confidentiality.
