Student Code of Conduct

Rules governing student behavior, attendance, attire, and disciplinary procedures

All students are required to read and acknowledge the College Code of Conduct at the time of admission. Violation of these rules may result in disciplinary action including suspension or rustication.

Attendance

  • Minimum 80% attendance is compulsory in theory and practicals per year.
  • Attendance below 80% disqualifies a student from appearing in the MUHS examination.
  • Medical leave applications must be submitted within 3 days with a valid medical certificate.
  • Late entries after 10 minutes of class commencement are marked Absent for that session.
  • Students must sign the attendance register; proxy attendance is a serious offence.

Dress Code

  • White coat / uniform as prescribed by the college must be worn during practical sessions and in the OPD.
  • ID card must be worn visibly at all times on campus.
  • Formal attire is required during college college functions and external clinical postings.
  • Casual, revealing, or inappropriate clothing is not permitted on campus.

Behavior & Discipline

  • Students must maintain proper decorum and respect towards faculty, staff, and fellow students.
  • Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside the classrooms and labs during sessions.
  • No student may represent the college in any external event without prior written permission.
  • Consumption of tobacco, alcohol, or substances is strictly prohibited on campus.
  • Any form of damage to college property will result in disciplinary action and cost recovery.
  • Students are not permitted to organize gatherings, protests, or political activities on campus.

Use of Facilities

  • Library books must be returned within the stipulated borrowing period. Fine applies for overdue returns.
  • Lab equipment is to be handled with care; any damage is chargeable to the student.
  • The college computer lab / internet facility may only be used for academic purposes.
  • Students must maintain cleanliness in classrooms, labs, restrooms, and common areas.
